The Jennings County High School girls tennis team won all three of its singles matches, resulting in a 3-2 victory over visiting Trinity Lutheran on April 16.

Lady Panther senior Tatum Brown rolled to a 6-0, 6-2 win over Drew Hubbard at No. 1 singles.

Kaydence Lowman claimed a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Katie Malone at No. 2 singles, and Mia Silvey captured a 6-3, 6-1 win over Presley Meyers at No. 3 singles.

However, the Lady Cougars won both doubles matches, with Kiley Zabel and Carson Bowling claiming a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Jocelyn Valdovinos and Sophia Lucas at No. 1 doubles.

Natalee Martinez and Emily Keller captured a 6-0, 7-5 win over Gabi Morin and Maddy McIntosh at No. 2 doubles.

  • However, visiting Jennings County suffered a 3-2 loss to Bedford North Lawrence on April 18.

Brown defeated Becca Epping 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Lowman also won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-2.

However, Nadia Anderson outlasted Silvey at No. 3 singles, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

The Lady Stars also won both doubles matches, with Kenley Craig and Isabelle Aldridge rolling past McIntosh and Tina Collins 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.

Jessie Fabion and Emma Conover defeated Ari Maldonado and Sydney Kegley at No. 2 doubles, winning 6-3, 1-6, 6-0.

  • The Lady Panthers rebounded with a 5-0 shutout of visiting Madison on Friday.

Brown rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Sandra Corrales at No. 1 singles, and Lowman defeated Ruby Willoughby 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Silvey posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles.

Morin and McIntosh claimed a 6-0, 6-3 win over Peighton Mundt and Alexa Davis at No. 1 doubles, and at No. 2 doubles.

Maldonado and Kegley split the first two sets — 1-6 and 6-3 — before defeating Bridgett Boles and Miochelle Laguna 10-5 in super tiebreaker.

  • Jennings County continued its winning ways on Monday, shutting out visiting Columbus East.

Four of the five matches consisted of 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Brown won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and but Lowman and Silvey didn’t drop a game in their singles victories.

Then, the doubles tandems of Valdovinos and Lucas — along with Morin and McIntosh — did not lose a game either.
