Another nat'l award for local shop
Another nat'l award for local shop
Darrell and Sharyn Patterson of Sharynn's Quilt Box have been singled out nationally as being one of Handi Quilter's Top Retailers Award recipients for 2017. The local shop has one of the top sales volumes among the 370 dealers in the U.S. for Handi Quilter machines, shown above, and have won this award four years in a row. The Pattersons also were singled out for the HQ Way Retailer Award, which recognizes best-in-class longarm education, training and machine servicing. The Pattersons say they make customer service a priority thanks to Darrell's in-depth knowledge and expertise of these quilting machines and generous sharing of that expertise with his customers that come from near and far.-Staff Photo by Barbara King

As I have spent time in the Jennings County Schools and in this community, over and over I have been impressed by the people. We have genuinely good people in this county who look out for one another. Neighbors with tractors, without being asked, show up with a snow plow and make long gravel drives safer. When a car breaks down on the side of a country road, someone stops and helps
