For the last two years, Lowe's employees have brought their talents to Las Vegas for INVEST, the company's annual meeting. From singing and beatboxing to tap dancing and guitar playing, the winners of the annual Lowe's Has Talent competition prove they bring more than just home improvement knowledge and skills to the table. This year was no different as 13 employees from across the U.S. and Canada, including Keith Swinney, attended the meeting and rocked out in front of more than 3,500 of their Lowe's coworkers. A reception honoring a man whose name has been synonymous with local finance the past 36 years will be honored Tuesday as he begins a new phase of his life-retirement. Chris Ertel will be the man of the hour at Old National Bank on Tuesday, March 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. as the bank invites customers, friends and family in to wish him well. Ertel will conclude his career in banking as a vice president of Old National. A 1970 graduate of Jennings County High School, he began his career teaching math, first at Madison, then at JCHS. State Sen. Chip Perfect (R-Lawrenceburg) welcomed 14 students from his district to the Statehouse in Indianapolis who served as Senate pages in January. The students included and Coleman Haurez of Commiskey, who attends Jennings County Middle School.
