CRH nurses singled out for work and leadership
In conjunction with National Nurses Week, Columbus Regional Health honored its nursing staff with two award ceremonies highlighting the devotion to nursing practice and nursing leadership.
National Nurses Week was held from May 6-12. The two award ceremonies were Nursing Excellence Awards and the Nightingale Awards.

Pollinator garden gets a boost from local Farm Bureau entities
The Jennings County Farm Bureau, Inc. and the Jennings County Farm Bureau Insurance agency presented the Jennings County Soil and Water Conservation District a check for $2000 to help with the Pollinator Pathway at the Jennings County fairgrounds.
Recognizing the importance of pollinators to the food supply of everyone made this donation a "must do" for these two groups.

Adam L. Blevins now a full fledged Marine
Pfc. Adam L. Blevins recently graduated from Marine Corps boot camp at the MCRD San Diego, CA.
Blevins will be stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA, for rifle training for two months.
He is a 2014 graduate of Jennings County High School and is the son of Sharon and Rodney Hubbard of Hayden.

Local woman named top nursing officer at Schneck Medical Center
Amy Pettit, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CBBSS, has been named vice president and chief nursing officer for Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
As a magnet-designated hospital in recognition of its excellence in nursing, Schneck is committed to the highest standard of nursing care, a standard Pettit has spent her career advancing and nurturing, according to Warren Forgey.
