Ball State University is making an important change in its admissions process. Ball State will make submitting SAT or ACT scores optional for its next upcoming recruitment class, who will begin their college education in the Fall of 2019. Emma Morrison, of North Vernon, recently attended the prestigious Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar held at University of Indianapolis. She joined more than 160 other young high school leaders from the region. Representing Jennings County High School, Emma is the daughter of Alan and Lori Morrison. She will be a junior at JCHS. Each spring, select area sophomores from public and private high schools convene at one of the 70 State Leadership Seminars across the country to recognize their leadership talents and apply them to becoming effective and ethical leaders. The Napoleon State Bank purchased this property in the spring of 2018 shortly after the purchase of the former MainSource Bank building. "The Napoleon State Bank was happy to purchase the car wash property in Westport. This will allow for extra parking for our new branch, as well as enable us to extend the drive through lanes to improve drivability," said Mark Comer, CEO/President.
