First Kiwanis Kids Club here in Jennings receives its charter at NV Elementary
North Vernon Elementary School is the first elementary school in Jennings County to start a Kiwanis Kids Club.

In a special ceremony on Feb. 26, Vanessa McClary, area director of the
Kiwanis Kids, officially presented the charter to school's Kiwanis Kids Club, also known as K-Kids Club. McClary gave a short speech during the ceremony.

The K-Kids Club at North Vernon Elementary School is sponsored by the North Vernon Kiwanis Club.

Guild taking scholarships' apps
The Schneck Guild is now accepting applications for the Kim Quilleon Varnell Memorial Scholarship. The Guild awards up to three $1,000 scholarships annually to past Junior Volunteers who are graduating high school seniors.
