Phyllis Herche closes door on realtor career
If she had to do it all over again, she certainly would. After 33 years, Phyllis (Callahan) Herche says she wouldn't trade one day working at Tom Lawson's Realty company because "Tom is great to work for!"
An Austin native, Phyllis has been in the workforce since 16 and spent her early years working in factories. Her first job was at the old shirt factory in Seymour, then a stint at the now historic powder plant in Charlestown, and then Cummins.
When she was laid off at the Columbus plant, she decided she wanted to try something totally different and signed up to attend real estate school in Hope.
