The Christ Baptist Church in North Vernon was the setting for the June 16, 2012 wedding of Molly Elizabeth Campbell and Cory James Parker, both of North Vernon. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Butch Woodell.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an ivory strapless wedding gown with an appliqued bodice and a corset-tie mid-back that flowed into a pickup taffeta design. The taffeta design sat atop a ruffled tulle skirting and the cathedral train.

Tasha Parker, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Kim Gabbard, sister of the bride, and Morgan Jackson, cousin of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. Michael Parker, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Jason Gabbard, brother-in-law of the bride, and Jacob Parker, brother of the bridegroom, were groomsmen.

A candle in memory of the bridegroom's grandfather, James Franks, and the bride's aunt, Roberta Back Spicer, was lit by the couples' mothers to begin the ceremony while the song "Remember Me" was being played. The bride entered the church to the song, "You Had Me From Hello" and the couple exited while the song, "God Gave Me You" was playing. Musical selections were by Mark Schultz, Kenny Chesney and Blake Shelton.

For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Campbell wore a black dress with lace overlay. The bridegroom's mother was dressed in a brown and pink pants suit.

A reception at the Senior Resource Center was held following the ceremony. Pink and green calla lilies decorated the venue. A three-tier cake with fountain was decorated in pink flowers. Assisting at the reception were Jo Petty and Chelli Clark.

A rehearsal dinner, given by the bridegroom's parents, was held in the basement of the church. Upon request of the bride, chicken and dumplings were made by the bridegroom's mother to serve the guests.

The bride is the daughter of Ada Campbell of North Vernon and Jim Campbell of Campton, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Jennings County High School. Her husband is the son of Richard (Andy) and Michelle Parker of North Vernon. He, too, is a graduate of Jennings County High School and is self-employed.

The couple is at home in North Vernon following the ceremony.
