Nakiah K. Johnson now is a U.S. Marine
Marine PFC Nakiah K. Johnson finished her basic training April 27 after 13 weeks of training at Marine Corp Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC.
After a 10 day leave, she returned to her MOS school at Camp Johnson, NC.
PFC Johnson is now stationed at Cherry Point, NC, as a logistics/embarkation specialist. She joined the Marine Corps in June 2014 under the delayed entry program and left on Jan. 20, 2015 upon graduation from Jennings County High School at mid-term.

Popular Chinese Buffet restaurant expands menu, renovates on 12th anniversary year
After being closed for nearly three weeks for renovations, the North Vernon China Buffet reopened for business earlier this month.
"We are happy to be open again," said Jenny Chen, who with her husband, Andy, own and operate the popular eatery. "We thank our customers for their patience while we were closed."
Located at 1599 N. State Street in the Tenn Oaks Plaza, China Buffet looks like a brand new restaurant with new furnishings and furnishings.
