The public unveiling of the $500,000 renovation of the JC Community Building dazzled guests with its tasteful and up-to-date renovation completed by Bradshaw Building Specialties. As you can see, chandeliers have been addded, as well as side wall scones, which are not pictured, for some "bling." For information on renting the building, call the county at 812-346-2967.-Submitted Photo

According to the 2018 Indiana County Health Rankings, Jennings County placed 82nd out of Indiana's 92 counties in overall health outcomes. Not only that, but Jennings County also placed 89th in length of life, 67th in quality of life, and 79th in social and economic factors. Yes, these numbers are pretty grim, however we do have people like Jeff Walker, Jennings County's newest Community Wellness Coordinator, working to fix them. Walker took on the role of Community Wellness Coordinator on May 9th of this year. He is only the second coordinator Jennings County has ever had after his predecessor, Aisha Achesah, left the position for another job closer to her family. Wednesday, July 18, 2018
Giving back to the community has always been a staple of Masonic Lodges all across the United States and around the world. According to Tom Franks, the growing Butlerville Masonic Lodge No. 219 is no exception. Franks is the Master Mason at the lodge. The lodge itself is 160 years old, but that does not mean that it has not fallen on hard times on occasion. Wednesday, July 11, 2018
