John and Della Jayne of North Vernon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Butlerville Mennonite Church from 2 to 6 p.m.

Kylee Leann Matern has been named to the dean's list for the 2019 fall semester at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The dean's list includes all students who carried a minimum of 12 credit hours and have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the semester.

Register for family farm succession program
The Purdue Extension Succession Planning Team will offer the workshop "Farming Together: Enhancing Your Worth as a Farm Business Partner" this winter. The two-night program will guide family farm operators on planning the transition of their business to the next generation. Participants will learn how to enhance human resource management, develop an understanding of key financial aspects, gain legal knowledge from local attorneys and build their own personal roadmap to succession planning.
