A woman who surely holds the longevity record right now in the Jennings County School System has made "the toughest decision" in her life. After 47 years, Mary Lynn Whitcomb has opted for retirement at the end of this school year.

IUPUC honors woman who tranformed, grew its nusing program
Beth Sharer, Head, Division of Health Sciences at IUPUC, has been awarded a 2019 IUPUI Spirit of Philanthropy Award for her work in transforming the nursing program at IUPUC during the last 10 years. From graduating just nine students in 2009 to now over 100 annually, the nursing program has benefited from Beth's passion, innovative solutions, and consistent fundraising.

Two JCHS seniors gain Next Generation Educators award
Two students from Jennings County High School have been awarded the prestigious Indiana Commission for Higher Education's Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarships. Two hundred of these scholarships were awarded across the state, placing Jennings' recipients Sydney Campbell and Dylan Boswell in select company.
