The public unveiling of the $500,000 renovation of the JC Community Building dazzled guests with its tasteful and up-to-date renovation completed by Bradshaw Building Specialties. As you can see, chandeliers have been addded, as well as side wall scones, which are not pictured, for some "bling." Former resident earns Master of Divinity
Teresa Ann Poole, of Columbus and formerly of North Vernon, was awarded a Master of Divinity degree from the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary on May 13. She was among 38 individuals to receive degrees at the seminary's 164th commencement exercises, which were held at the Second Presbyterian Church in Louisville.
While at Louisville Seminary, Poole earned a 3.8 out of a 4.0 grade point average and was the recipient of the Rev. Arnold O. Schaap Presidential Scholarship as well as the Dean K. Thompson Prize for Practical Theology.
Poole is a graduate of Jennings County High School; Purdue University, where she earned an Associate in Applied Science degree with highest distinction; and Indiana University, where she earned her bachelor's degree with high distinction. She is a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Columbus.

Thill achieves honor roll standing at U of I
Brittany Thill, daughter of Amy Williams, has been named to the honor roll for semester II of the 2017-18 academic year at the University of Indianapolis.
Honor roll students have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours and earned a grade point average of at last 3.4 but less than 3.7. Honor rolls encourage scholarship of high quality and give appropriate public acknowledgment os students whose work deserves recognition.
Thill is a Jennings County High School graduate.

Relative of NV couple on her way to success
Hannah Elisabeth Wilbert recently graduated from high school and junior college.
She was selected for the Bullitt Central High School, Shepherdsville, Ky., Advanced Math and Science program. Wilbert received two degrees from the Jefferson Community College in science and arts along with her high school diploma.
