The Hayden High School Alumni Association will be hold their 75th annual homecoming Sunday, June 28, at 1 p.m. in the Hayden Museum's pavilion. Their first reunion took place in 1940 at the Muscatatuck State Park and while the event has been held in various locations over the years, the event has always been held on the fourth Sunday in June. Rev. James Monroe Swarthout was the chairman of the first Homecomin. Officers elected for 1941 were Howard Daringer, president, and Maude Van Riper as secretary-treasurer. Honored guest for the first meeting included Hayden natives and former pro baseball players, Mike Simon of California and Ray Ryan of Virginia and former Jennings County School Superintendent Shepherd Whitcomb of Vernon. The 44th annual Paris Crossing Alumni Banquet is scheduled for Friday, June 26, at the Pines Evergreen Room, Highway 31 South, south of US 50, near Seymour. All those who attended any of the three Jennings County schools from Paris Crossing, Lovett and Marion are urged to attend. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and the program will will start at 7:30 p..m.
