Ben Nigliazzo asked the question of the day at the Plain Dealer & Sun's legislative session on Feb. 2. Nigliazzo wanted to know the status of the jail tax enacted in Jennings to help pay for a new jail. If State Rep. Randy Frey's bill passes that is designed to help with overcrowding, it is possible the county would not have to fund a new facility. Then it would be up to the Jennings County Council to rescind the tax. Until that is determined, however, the new tax remains on the local books. Pictured with Nigliazzo is his son, Jeff.
