Legal Aid is holding a free legal aid phone clinic for residents of their-eight-county district Monday, January 18, 2021. The district includes Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Rush, and Shelby counties. The phone clinic will be conducted from 3 to 5:30 p.m. though registration is required between 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021
Stephon Moore was found guilty on Sept. 30, 2019 of murdering Donavon Booker, 23, and the attempted murder of Booker's best friend, Larry Evans. The incident occurred on April 15, 2019, with the jury taking less than three hours to reach the unanimous verdicts. Wednesday, January 13, 2021
David Bowe, 51, 560 Willow Way, NV is charged with escape and possession of syringe and of meth, theft and presenting a false identification, all Level 6 Felonies (F6s); and possession of parapheralia, a C misdemeanor. Deputies went to his address with a warrant and discovered him allegedly hiding in a shed behind some furniture where he then gave a false name. He was put in the deputy's vehicle where he subsequently escaped from the back seat by climbing over the seat and exiting out the front door.
