Judy Malone served as the tour guide for her home in Vernon that was one of 7 stops on the recent Jennings County Historical Society's Town & Country Tour. Inside the historic 1840 home were the murals of historic homes and buildings of Vernon painted by the late North Vernon artist Kay Brown. One wall in the bedroom featured none other than the Jennings County Courthouse, seen at right.-Staff Photo by Barbara King

Butlerville man pleads to child solicitation and is sentenced
A Butlerville man arrested last summer for facebooking a 15-year-old girl about having sex has now been sentenced.

Holstein received a 5-year sentence after pleading guilty to the charge. He will serve 4 years of his punishment at the DOC. One year was suspended to probation.

Wrongful death suit filed in the electrocution of Willow Jacobs
The parents of 18-month-old Willow Jacobs have filed a Complaint for Wrongful Death in Jennings Circuit Court and are asking for a jury to hear and decide the issues raised.
