On December 19, 2020, thirty-six probationary troopers graduated from the 80th Indiana State Police Academy. Last week, two of those troopers reported for duty at the ISP-Versailles District.
Probationary troopers now begin their next phase of instruction, a three-month field training period, working alongside veteran troopers. Field training aims to give troopers a practical application to the training they received throughout the formal academy. Wednesday, January 20, 2021
Legal Aid is holding a free legal aid phone clinic for residents of their-eight-county district Monday, January 18, 2021. The district includes Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Rush, and Shelby counties. Stephon Moore was found guilty on Sept. 30, 2019 of murdering Donavon Booker, 23, and the attempted murder of Booker's best friend, Larry Evans. The incident occurred on April 15, 2019, with the jury taking less than three hours to reach the unanimous verdicts. Wednesday, January 13, 2021
