NV woman jailed after heroin found in vehicle
A traffic stop last week led to the arrest of a North Ver-non woman on heroin and other charges.
Lisa G. Bedel, 44, remains in the Jennings County Jail in lieu of a $4,055 cash bond. She is being held on preliminary charges of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 2 felony; and possession of a narcotic, a Level 4 felony.
Police arrested Bedel April 18 after finding heroin inside her vehicle during a traffic stop, according to Lt. Mike Mowery of the JC Sheriff's Depart­ment.

Alleged theft leads to arrest
A North Vernon woman faces a myriad of drug-related and other charges after being arrested Tuesday morning at Walmart.
City police initially arrested Katrina Roush, 27, for theft after she was apprehended by the store's Asset Protection personnel for allegedly shoplifting merchandise.
