The community is invited to join the members of the NVPD to enjoy a meal prepared by the officers and their families. Meals will be served as supplies last.
"This is the ninth time we have shared a meal with the community. Last year's cook-out was great and we have high expectations again this year," said Chief James Webster. "We are looking forward to visiting with the community and will have special activities for the kids," continued the chief.
A special memorial service will be held before the meal. There is no cost for the event which will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.
