DNA helps ID suspects in Set Steel's burglary

Daylee Miller Daniel, 29, 29 Greensburg St, NV is charged with possession of meth, an L6F. On Dec. 12, NVPD officer saw a Hummer at Hall Heating at 11:26 p.m. Aaron Mason and Daniel said they ran out of gas and waiting for someone to bring gas. Meth was located inside the vehicle behind the front passenger seat on top of the carpeting of the floorboard.

John W. Patterson, IV, 36, is charged with possession of syringe, an L6F; and of marijuana, a B misdemeanor. He was stopped after NVPD officer Wes Thayer saw him drive by and knew there was a warrant out for him.

James Edward Franks, 47, 1969 Chats-worth Ln, NV is charged with possession of meth, an L6F. JCSD went to 2020 Derbyshire Ct to locate Franks, wanted on a warrant. He was at his mother's home with Vanessa Streight, whom officers knew had an arrest warrant, too. Drug items were found and both were arrested. Streight, 35, same ad-dress, is charged with possession of syringe and of meth, both L6Fs.

DNA aided in the charging of Christopher Orlando May, 28, Putnamville Correctional Facility with burglary, an L5F; and theft where the value is over $750 but less than $50,000.

The burglary occurred at Set Steel Enter-prises Nov. 27, 2015 over the Thanksgiving holiday. The last of the employees left at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

When employees returned, police were called. There were footprints on a rug leading to the back conference room where a TV was taken off the wall, leaving drywall dust.

An emply water bottle was found in the room where the TV was stolen. The room had been cleaned before the shut down, so the bottle was taken to the lab for DNA. Results eventually came back as May.'s DNA

DNA also helped ID another alleged burglary suspect. The company has a no smoking policy is very proud that no one in the company smokes. A cigarette butt was found inside the SW door area and taken to the lab for DNA analysis, which later ID'd Kimlynn Patton, who will go on trial for the burglary on Aug. 27. May's trial is set Nov. 15.

William Carl Heilman, 24, is charged with theft with prior conviction, an L6F, for allegedly stealing a bicycle.
