3/12/2018 12:46:00 PM Man who landed in ICU after eating 3 grams of meth now facing court
A local man who allegedly ate 3 grams of meth to avoid getting arrested and was then hospitalized in intensive care at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, has survived and is now facing several charges.
Justin Wayne Jarrell, 27, 34 Norris Ave, NV is charged with resisting law enforcement with deadly weapon and obstruction of justice and possession of meth, all L6Fs; and possession of paraphernalia, a C misdemeanor.
When officers attemp-ted to pull Jarrell over for a traffic violation, on Jan. 30, he bypassed "10 reasonable opportunities to pull off," finally driving through the Orschlens' lot and stopping at Arby's.
Although K-9 Heros alerted, no drugs were found. Later at the jail, Jarrell reported he was not feeling well and allegedly confessed that he swallowed 3 grams of meth before he was stopped.
He was eventually taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indy where he underwent surgery and a bag was removed from his stomach.
Anthony Stephen Walker, 29, is charged with burglary of dwelling, an L4F; and theft and criminal trespass, both A misdemeanors.
Officer Kevin Hall was sent to 830 Tulip Tree Trail regarding a burglary on Feb. 20. Property owner said he was gone from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and someone broke in and took a Polaris key to the Utility Vehicle, a Dell lap top and $20 from a change jar. He suspected his brother, Anthony S. Walker, of breaking into his home because if anyone else had broken in, the dog would have attacked anyone them. The brother had previously lived at the home 2 months. When located, officers found items in the suspect's possesion.
Dylan James Herche, 27, 270 W 250 N, NV is charged with domestic battery committed in presence of a child less than 16 and strangulation, both L6Fs.
Sally Jean Clayton, 27, 5014 Griffigh Ln, Madison is charged with possession of meth and of a legend drug, both L6Fs; possession of a controlled substance, an A misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a C misdemeanor. The car in which she riding was stopped for an expired registration. Drugs were found in her possession.
Melissa B. Trotter, 44, 5425 Priv Dr., NV is charged with resisting law enforcement with vehicle, an L6F; and operating without ever having a license, a C misdemeanor. Officer attempted to stop Trotter's car for speeding; she sped away.
James Jerrel Clark, 33, 156 W Walnut St, NV is charged with possession of meth and maintaining a common nuisance, both L6Fs; and possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor. NVPD oficers were called to the above address on a report of an unconscious man. Drug items were found.
Michael A. Thomas, 35, is charged with battery against a public safety official and operating a vehicle after being adjudicated an habitual traffic offender, both L6Fs; and resisting law enforcement and cruelty to an animal, both A misdemeanors.
Allegedly, Thomas kicked a 4-month-old puppy in the head and killed it after an argument at his girlfriend's father's home.
