Charges include UTV accident where 2 were hurt

Jesse R. Pelley, 50, 1195 N Huckleberry Drive, North Vernon, is charged with possession of meth and maintaining a common nuisance, both Level 6 felonies (L6Fs). Items were found when he was pulled over for having a headlight out.

Melanie Renea Krebbs, 44, 8532 Bethany Road, Nashville, is charged with possession of meth, an L6F; possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor; false informing, a B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a C misdemeanor. She was with Pelley (see case above).

Clinton W. Maschino, 27, 352 Long St., North Vernon, is charged with posession of narcotic drug and of meth and maintaining a common nuisance, all L6Fs; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. NVPD Officer Kyle Hall was called to a possible overdose at the address and found Maschino unconscious. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Tanner Robert Cor­nett, 21, is charged with possession of a narcotic drug and possession of a syringe, both L6Fs; and visiting a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor. NVPD Officer Isaac Barkes was called to 156 W Walnut for an unresponsive man who was apparently overdosing. A search warrant was obtained and drugs were found.

Tina N. Stark, 52, 156 W. Walnut St., North Vernon, is charged with maintaining a common nuisance, an L6F. Cornett had overdosed in her apartment.

Michael Paul Turner, 30, 1105 N. River Road, North Vernon, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, an L6F. He was in a car that somebody called in as being driven by an erratic driver.

Marvin W. Cumber­worth, 48, 1055 N. Mul­berry Place, North Ver­non, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with an enhancing circumstance and possession of a Leg­end Drug, both L6Fs. A concerned person called NVPD about a woman appearing to have a seizure in a car, then driving off. Police stopped the car to see if she was OK and found what appeared to be marijuana in her pocket. Marvin was with her. He gave the OK for police to search him and they found four white oval pills in one of the two wallets he had, along with $1,900 cash.

Matthew Paul Brooks, 40, 925 S. County Road 400 East, North Vernon, is charged with causing serious injury operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or more and causing serious injury operating a motor vehicle intoxicated, an L6F; operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .15 or more and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor.

On July 16 at 3:16 a.m. JCSD deputies were sent to County Road 250 East near County Road 150 South for a utility terrain vehicle accident with injuries. Brooks was standing outside of the UTV and had a small laceration to his head that was bleeding. He allegedly said he was fine, that he was the driver and that he had been drinking over the course of the day.

Two passengers, though, were taken to St. Vincent Jennings Hospi­tal, one had a broken sternum and the other complaining of shoulder pain.

Evert Logan Jimenez, 21, 617 Carter St., Sey­mour, is charged witih intimidation where threat is to commit a forcible felony, an L6F. He was being transported to jail and started making threats to the officer. The car he had been riding in was stopped for failing to signal a turn. Oficers searched the car and everyone was detained.

Michael Wayne Bowl­ing, 38, 7615 E. County Road 50 South, Butler­ville, is charged with theft with prior, an L6F. He allegedly tried to steal clothes he had put in his backpack while at Wal­mart.
