Sentences are pronounced

Michael Loren Hartwell, 29, has pled guilty to sexual battery, a D felony, and sentenced to 526 days in jail with 263 actual days credit. He was originally charged with rape; however, DNA evidence was inconclusive and he always denied having sex with the victim. In addition to the usual fees, he must also pay a $250 Sexual Assault Victim's Fee.

Nancy E. Malcomson has pled to maintaining a common nuisance, an L6F, and sentenced to 1 year with 55 actual days credit. The sentence is suspended to probation for 8 months. As a condition of probation, she must seek assessment/treatment at SE IN Mental Health Professionals (SEI MHP).

Heath J. Malcomson has pled to unlawful possession of meth, an A misdemeanor, and sentenced to 30 days in jail, to be served 2 days per week. He was originally charged with an L6F.

Michael Evans Fortner has pled to possession of meth, an L6F, and sentenced to 18 months with 282 actual days credit.

Stephen Monday has pled to resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, an L6F, and sentenced to 342 days in jail with credit for 171 actual days.

Louann Marie Parton has pled to possession of syringe and possession of a narcotic drug, both L6Fs. She was sentenced to 18 months on both charges to be served concurrently and suspended to probation. She received 93 actual days credit. She must complete 40 hours of community service by June 12, 2018 and be evaluated by SEI MHP and follow any recommendations for treatment.

Daniel Adam Braun has pled to carrying a handgun without a license with prior conviction, an L5F, and sentenced to 5 years suspended to probation. In considering the sentence, Judge Webster noted aggravating factors as 4 prior felony convictions and 5 prior misdemeanors and his use ofl marijuana Mitigators were that he is a high school graduate, admitted the crime and incarceration would be a hardship for his family. He received 8 actual credit days.
