8/7/2017 12:32:00 PM Suspect sought in illegal drug ring active in 3 states
Larry M. Nantz, 43, 3135 Washington St, Butlerville is wanted on 3 counts of dealing in a narcotic drug, all L5Fs. In May, an ISP officer was contacted by a Confidential Cooperator who said he/she could purchase heroin from Nantz. This was allegedly accomplished in supervised buys 3 different times.
Bond is $20,000.
David A. Elmore, 35, 2042 Crestwood Dr, NV is wanted on possession of meth, an L6F. NVPD officer Anthony Bagby received information about Elmore, who had a warrant out for arrest. He went to where he worked and arrested him; meth was found in his pocket.
Bond set at $10,000.
Alexis Rachelle Bell, 21, of Marietta Georgia is wanted on 2 counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or deceit, both L6Fs. A warrant has also been issued for Bell out of Jackson County for the same charge.
On May 2, ISP received a request for a DEA Task Force officer about an illegal Promethazine network that had been operating in Tennessee and Kentucy and now southern Indiana.
Suspects would call in fake prescriptions using actual DEA physician numbers and information. An investigation ensued, with Bell presenting these fake presciptions at the local CVS and Walmart pharmacies. The same scam was pulled in Scottsburg, Columbus, Seymour and other area pharmacies.
