Moore's sentence stands

Donna J. Moore personally filed a motion to modify her prison sentence on Feb. 6. This is the second time she has requested her 53-year prison sentence be reduced.

Moore was convicted of neglect resulting in the death of her five-year-old son Sammy in April 2006 in a jury trial held at Vernon.

JC Chief Deputy Prosecutor Drew Dickerson, filed an objection to Moore's motion on Feb. 10.

After review, Judge Webster denied Moore's petition.

Moore's earliest release date is Feb. 10, 2032.

She is incarcerated at the Indiana Women's Prison.
