A jury has convicted Kevin Scott Wang, 46, of four charges while finding him innocent of one. The three-day trial resulted in guilty verdicts of manufacturing meth, a B felony; and the 3 D felonies of unlawful possession of chemical reagents or precursors with intent to manufacture meth, maintaining a common nuisance and unlawful possession of anhydrous ammonia. The jury decided he was not guilty of possession of marijuana. Sentencing is set for Sept 4. Wang is scheduled for another jury trial starting Oct. 7 on 2 charges of possession of meth, a C and D felony, and possession of hashish oil/marijuana/synthetic drug, a D felony; and possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor. On Jan. 2010 he was sentenced to 2 years at the DOC with credit for 41 days to be served consecutively to aD felony case in Jackson County. In that case, he pled guilty to maintaining a common nuisance, a D felony.
