Charges include one where officer tries to help man avoid arrest and one who allegedly stole on the job

A policeman's effort to avoid arresting Sean Cockerham, 36, 500 Hayden Pike, NV, just didn't work out.
NV officer Todd Fleetwood responded to a disturbance behind Hatton's apartments on Fifth St where he saw Cockerham getting ready to drive off on a scooter. Fleetwood noticed the odorof alcohol and told the man he would give him a breath test to make sure he was not over the legal limit,which was. The officer warned Cockerham not to drive for at least 2 hours.
About 40 minutes later, Cockerham was seen driving the scooter on Madison Ave and was stopped in front of the police station, which resulted in his being charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated which was enhanced to a D felony due to a previous conviction for operating while intoxicated endangering a person on Dec. 30, 2010 in Jennings Superior Court; operating vehicle with ACE of .08 or more and operating vehicle while intoxicated, both C misdemeanors; resisting law enforcement, an A misdemeanor; and an infraction of driving while suspended.
Thomas Franklin Perkins, Jr., 21, 1860 W CR 850 S, Commiskey, has been charged with the theft, a D felony, from JayC where he was employed at their fuel center.
On May 15, officer Gary Driver was sent to the store where the company's loss prevention staff reported Perkins admitted he has been memorizing prices, under ringing items up, and pocketing money. He estimated he had stolen about $9000 since Feb. 2014.

Glenda A. Creech, 34, 3409 Rothshire Cir, NV has been charged with strangulation, a D felony and battery resulting in bodily injury, an A misdemeanor. Reportedly, she was mad at one of her children.

Ryan E Davidson, 27, 140 E Flintwood Dr, NV has been charged with unlawful possession of a syringe, a D felony, and driving while suspended which has been enhanced to an A misdemeanor due to his previous conviction of driving while suspended in July 2012 in Jennings Superior Court.

Michael Roy, 34, 4965 N Sunset Glades Blvd, NV has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, Methylphenidate, a D felony, and invasion of privacy, an A misdemeanor.

Jason D. Alstott, 31, 2239 Gentshire Way, NV is charged with the D felonies of possession of meth, of a syringe, and of maintaining a common nuisance. He is also charged with the A misdemeanor of possession of paraphernalia.
