robbery gets appeals attorney
Appellate counsel Patrick Magrath of Madison has been appointed as indigent attorney for two men currently serving their sentences in prison. He will be writing their appeals at the county's expense. One of the two men is Justin J. Clark, who was sentenced to 45 years in prison as a result of his role in the infamous Pfeiffer Jewelry Store robbery in which proprietor James Pfeiffer was beaten. Clark was convicted of 7 felonies, with the most serious being the A felony of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. Magrath will also write an appeal for Dillon Wayne Steinert, who is serving 1 year in prison for receiving stolen property to be served consecutively with 4 years he received on 2 counts of theft, all D felonies.
