One insurance company is suing for damages, another is being sued in this week's filings of civil cases at the Jennings courthouse. Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., on behalf of Gary and Patricia Lentz, 845 Tulip Tree Trail, NV is suing Hall Heating Inc. of North Vernon. The Lentzes allege that due to actions taken by Hall Heating to their furnace, an explosion occurred shortly thereafter that resulted in soot deposit and damage to their home. Jeff and Debbie Browning have filed a suit against Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance a/k/a United Farm Family Mutual Insurance Company. The Brownings allege that in Aug. 2012 a CAT backhoe that they owned caught fire and was completely destroyed. The loss was covered by their insurance policy with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, but they claim that the insurance company is refusing to reimburse them for their loss . The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for fair and market value or replacement of the backhoe.
