Prosecutor issues charges for the past week

Aaron Lynn Huffman, 44, 625 Greenbriar Cir, NV is charged with failure to register as a sex offender, a D felony. JC Sheriff Dept.'s Dave Turner was following up on the local registry for sex offenders when he saw that Huffman had failed to register.
Huffman explained his lapse by saying he hadn't thought about registering because he had been busy.
Bail was set at $10,000.
Jody Michael Brooks, 21, 4540 W CR175 N, NV is charged with possession of marijuana, which was enhanced to a D felony due to his previous conviction of possession of marijuana on Jan. 22, 2013 in Superior Court. NV Police Officer Christopher Campbell saw Brooks driving and knew his license was suspended. When Brooks was pulled over, the marijuana was discovered by Heros.
Angela M. Marcus, 43, 12 N Fifth Street, NV is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a D felony (Oxycodone) and possession of marijuana, an A misdemeanor.
She was released on her own recognizance (OR).
Stacy Marie Chapman, 27, of Columbus is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a D felony. Officer Todd Beam discovered the drug after Chapman was pulled over due to the fact the license plate did not match the car she was driving.
She was released OR.
Tonya Anne Amick, 39, Ruby Jane Apts, NV, has been charged with theft of Joshua A. Jones' TomTom GPS unit, a D felony. On Valentine's Day, a man in the Moir Apts saw a woman walk around Jones' car, open the driver's door, get in and take the TomTom. He ID'd the woman to police.
Bail was set at $10,000. A guilty plea has been set for June 20 at 3 p.m.
Shannon Nicholas Newcomb, 38, of Greens-burg has been charged with dealing in a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) and morphine (2 B felonies); dealing in a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Clonazepam), a C felony; and 3 D felonies of possession of a controlled substance.
The drugs were found after police were called to the area of Phat Guys in reference to a suspicious vehicle and activity.
Bail was set at $40,000.

Warrant Issued
Thomas A. Bowling, 18, 5850 W CR 600 S, Commiskey is wanted on theft and receiving stolen property, both D felonies. Bowling allegedly had and used Aaron J. Stainbrook's debit card.
Bond was set at $10,000.
