So this is an average of $33 per hour. Is this three people working for 72 hours each, or three people working for 24 hours each for 72 total labor hours? I'm inclined to believe the women were paid at $33 an hour each, not $11. Is regular cleaning maintenance so poor that the courthouse has to call in an expensive company that specializes in restoring fire, water and mold damage? Would it not be more effective and look better to pay a competent individual or two a decent wage to maintain a clean facility rather than pay professionals to respond to filth? If the county doesn't want to keep an adequate cleaning staff on the payroll now, perhaps they should start saving their money for when courthouse employees file lawsuits over filthy working conditions that may cause health impairment.
