Disc players register their best scores yet
The weather was much better than anticipated as the Tripton Park Disc Golf League competed for the fifth week.

Scores were very close this round, with Connor Ertel leading the way with a 50 (-4).

The Jennings County High School girls soccer team was knocked out of post season play in the first round of their Sectional at Jeffersonville Thursday night.

Girls x country is optimistic
Jennings County girls cross country came in third at Sectional competition Saturday morning at Hardy Lake. The top five teams now advance to the Regionals set Oct. 17 at Ceraland.

Madison Consolida-ted High School won the sectional, garnering 38 points, followed by Charlestown with 60 and Jennings County High School right on their heels with a 64. Silver Creek earned 75 points; Southwestern (Hanover), 119; and Scottsburg, 138.

There is no question that Floyd Central is a football powerhouse in the Hoosier Hills Conference and has been since its inception. The Panthers trip to Floyds Knob Friday night, Oct. 2 reinforced that perception as JC fell 55-13 to their hosts.
