Spring has sprung, and in Jennings County, that means it's time to hear the ping of the bats and the slap of a ball against a glove. Jennings County's boys basketball season came to an end in the first round of the Class 4A Seymour Sectional, where the Panthers lost to Jeffersonville to conclude a 12-11 campaign that was, to say the least, unlike any other. From in-school learning being postponed mid-season, to playing without fans until much later in the season, players, coaches, and fans all had to adjust to a season unlike any other. The Indianapolis NBA All-Star Host Committee selected Raul Antonio Ruiz from Jennings County High School as a "Rising Star" recipient, which includes a $2,100 scholarship for each Rising Star. Congratulations, Raul!
