Keri Ertel of North Vernon won the 60-meter hurdles in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships women's indoor track meet at Indianapolis on Sunday. A junior at the University of Indianapolis, Ertel's time in the finals was a personal best of 8.78. The Jennings County High School graduate also ran on UIndy's 4 x 400-meter relay team that finished third at 3:59.13. Archers from several Jennings County schools showed their talent at the annual Indiana National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) State Tournament on Saturday, March 19, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
