Where has the summer gone? In Jennings County, school started last week for students on Aug. 6. Teachers went back to work the day before. Principals returned to their jobs late last month.
Summer, as usual, flew past this year. The fact that classes began less than a full week into August and nearly a full month before Labor Day makes the summer seem shorter. So while the kids didn't get quite a full three months of down time from school, they came close. Wednesday, August 14, 2019
