Wall will keep country safe
Dear Editor,

Kate doesn't want the wall on the Southern border. But Kate has security she pays for on her property to keep her safe.

President Trump and his supporters want to keep our country secure and safe with a wall.

Stop illegal immigrants from pouring into USA
Dear Editor,

It's amazing that some people live in an alternate universe and don't seem to know it.

We have thousands of people being killed by illegal aliens, others raped, robbed, their houses vandalized and burgled, but this is "not an emergency."

CSL needs to follow law ...
Dear Editor,

Re: "Curious about real estate in CSL sold at tax sale," Jan. 3.

I do not think a man that demolishes meth houses (where clandestine meth labs have operated in the past) without following every letter of the law is anything that is good for Country Squire Lakes. That is not to mention the CSL homeowners association continues to put families with children in meth houses.

Curious about real estate in CSL sold at tax sale
Dear Editor,

I'm curious because it was kind of passed over in the last tax sale that Mr. Miller brought 20 properties in Country Squire Lakes.
Was this for CSL, his personal buy or to help out the tax books for Jennings County at our expense?

Seeking information about jeweler from NV's old days
Dear Editor,

My name is Ron Shepherd and I'm currently living in Temple, Ga. I grew up in Seymour in the 1940s and '50s, then taught school in Frankfort, Ind., for 36 years.

America needs a 'mother'
Dear Editor,

I have been watching the newly-elected women coming into Congress and am very excited about the intelligence they have along with the commitment to our country.

Trumpy Bear isn't the only joke
Dear Editor,

I just saw something on TV that made me laugh. I knew Trump was stuck on himself but I didn't know just how much. I mean, Trumpy Bear? What a joke!

Breaking taxpayers' backs
Dear Editor,

I'm writing to clarify my opinion from a previous letter to the editor I wrote that was published last month.

Where are the letters?
Dear Editor,

It's Thursday night (Nov. 29), and no update on any letters to the editor for the week, at least not on the Plain Dealer and Sun's website (plaindealer-sun.com). This is alarming, as I have read the North Vernon paper for over 18 years, and never have I opened an edition of the Plain Dealer and not found a spread of letters to the editor.

With a few pen strokes, jail problem would be solved
Dear Editor,

Based on information in the local newspaper about the Jennings County Jail situation, it appears that the entire problem can be solved in one week's time or less.

Stellar accomplishments
Dear Editor,
Thank you for publishing my letter to the editor in the Plain Dealer, "President's record of achievements," on Oct. 25.

But no single issue of the newspaper can come close to listing the many accomplishments in less than two years. So here are just a few more to consider.

5th psalm may be more relevant today than ever
Dear Editor,
All should read and ponder the words of the 5th psalm in the Book of Psalms from the Old Testament. Like the rest of the Bible, it is quite relevant today.
