Don't tell him what to do
Dear Editor,

Is this communist China?

I was absolutely disgusted reading the editorial comments in the NV paper last Thursday. Local CNN/Fauci minions praising Herr Holcomb for his unconstitutional, draconian monkey mask edict. And trying to shame (up til now)....free thinking American citizens for exercising their rights to think and act for themselves.

Virtual education may be way to go
Dear Editor,

After several months of confinement due to the coronavirus, the new normal is still a vision of change. Returning to school and formal education is just one of the many changes that we are seeing. E-learning is evolving as one of the tools. The virtual classroom has taken many forms, some better than others. Many parents are rightly concerned about sending their children to school. Even if the younger generations are not affected there is the probability of bringing the virus home to high risk seniors.

Let's continue serving God
Dear Editor,

When people would love one another in the homes, workplaces, and in the schools and families, it would make a difference. We should love one another as Jesus has loved us.

Says all lives do matter
Dear Editor,

Like it or not, Donald Trump is the worst person on God's green earth. He is using our own people against us. I am glad about the protests against the bad cops, but they are not all bad, just some.

Let's keep our neighbors and our community safe
Dear Editor,

The emergence of the novel coronavirus early this year presented the world with an unprecedented challenge. Not since the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 have we faced such a daunting public health crisis.

By late February, it was clear our healthcare system, government and every American citizen would need to work together to conquer this invisible enemy.

No historic individual perfect but we can still learn from them
I have a morning ritual. I make coffee then check our electric meter and feed the wildlife (so I can watch them as I eat), record electric and health data, then go eat. As I eat breakfast and drink may coffee, I read the Google news and FB on my PC.

Time for Trump's pink slip
Well it's that time again. Two men have squared off for the office of the President of the United States of America. Do we vote a new president in or do we vote the same con man back in to office. I haven't heard Mr. Joe Biden say one thing bad about Trump! Yet Trump has said a lot to muddy Mr. Biden's name and character.

Didn't like story about cemetery
My name is, Kathy Barber, secretary for the Vernon Cemetery. I'm writing in response to Barbara King's article regarding the cemetery lot owners meeting held June 11th at the Vernon gym.

Before 'stirring the pot,' do some research
Dear Editor,

In regards to the person who was stirring the pot but did not have enough backbone to sign a name should research before stirring the pot. Maybe they should ask each officer what they are. N.V.P.D. has had a couple of woman officers in the past and they have done a great job.

Says letter writer needs to consider some fact checking
Dear Editor,

I am writing in regards to a letter to the editor in the Plain Dealer of June 4 titled "Swamp Includes National Journalist" written by Mr. Phillip Hammersley. It's been a few months since this person has written to the editor with his normal childish name calling and and total lack of facts. I thought he had become enlightened and learned how wrong Trump and his kind have been. I guess not.

Let's all consider the many and diverse freedoms here in the U.S.
Dear Editor,

With all the chaos surrounding recent events involving police I think a word of encouragement to local law enforcement is needed. I want to thank our police who go out when called, regardless of the situation, to assist and often to save lives. Let me repeat, SAVE LIVES.

Says we need to get over race issue
Dear Editor,

How our world has changed over a senseless death of a man who was in prison four times, and a rogue cop who had personal issues with George Floyd where both worked at a night club.

Asks us to vote this year with heart and prayers
Dear Editor,

It's time to stand up.

We are living in the last days as we see and hear what is going on in our country. What can we do?
