No play in Vernon this year, but playwright understands
This is an open letter to Josie Campbell.
Dear Josie, I was so impressed with your performance in "Tripton Town Follies," especially your singing of "You're A Grand Ol' Flag," that I wrote a role of a younger sister just for you and included your song in my new play, "The Thunderbolt of the Confederacy," for the 200th birthday celebration of Vernon, Indiana.

Holy Week irony in Indiana
Fifty-plus years ago, I was a skinny farm boy attending a small school in rural Kentucky. My sixth- and seventh-grade teacher was Mr. Donnie Lee. It was his first job, straight from university.

Editorial 'sorely lacking in details'
Your editorial on why Indiana is the worst state in America for passing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act is sorely lacking in details. (Re: "Legalizing discrimination," March 26.)

Don't waste money for campsites at Eco Lake Park
I think the money that might be spent on Eco Lake Park would be a waste. That place is nearly outside of Jennings County, almost in Columbus.

A remarkable twist for March Madness
It was incredible. Perhaps, one might say unbelievable. It qualifies for "remarkable."

There is way too much greed, hatred, racism around
Freedom. What is it?
I can tell you what it is not. It's not for the good people; it's for the greedy people.

Park could be 'great asset'
I would like to see some people actually run some numbers on the potential for Eco Lake Park. (Re: "County has no business owning park," March 12.)
It seems like to me that Eco Lake Park would be a great asset for the county if they have RV camping.
