I want to say this is my personal feelings doing this article.
There was a movie made over 50 years ago that was called "Soylent Green." People over the age of 65 who were non workers and not essential were herded up and killed and made into a supplemental food for the rest of the world. They were called "Soylent Green." Wednesday, January 13, 2021
DTrumpty, DTrump-ty, DtTumpty! What happened in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6th makes one wonder what has become of our country! Wednesday, January 13, 2021
Blacks can riot, blacks can burn, They can loot and destroy at every turn. But from Democrats in Washington, you'll see no concern. But let a conservative do the same and the Democrats in Washington says it's a grave concern. Dexcuse me the Democrat hypocrisy made me puke.
I was pleasantly surprised to find my name listed in the Celebrating Prominent Women of Jennings County, Indiana article in the North Vernon Plain Dealer and Sun.
It is quite an honor to be recognized along with so many women who have left a mark on our community. I appreciate all the work the community members and organizational members put into compiling the list and recognizing the 19th Amendment Centennial. This had to be quite a daunting task! We are treating the violence which is only a symptom rather than treat the problem of the disease of fear, anger, and distrust.
The country is in turmoil and the media giants are having a hayday stirring it up and making news. News such as this sells papers but just what was the issue that provoked a planned expression of the freedom to demonstrate and speak out on a political issue into a riot and assault on the capital. Fortunately, we have many politicians and news commentators to point fingers of blame at the president and his followers. Wednesday, January 13, 2021
I would like to thank the committee who worked so hard to put together the list of the last 100 years of outstanding women. I agree with all choices. Wednesday, January 6, 2021
With the "year of Covid'" barely behind us, we look forward to the New Year and the customary resolutions: reduce personal weight, reduce time on social media, and reduce consumption of animal foods. Wednesday, January 6, 2021
Let us go back in time; do you remember the excitement you felt about Christmas when you were a kid? Before the big day, you probably checked out all the tags on the gifts to find out which ones were yours and shook each one trying to guess what was inside. When Christmas morning finally arrived you couldn't wait to tear the wrapping paper off so you could play with your new toys. Wednesday, December 23, 2020
As the pandemic continues to tear through the country, now is the time for Senators Mike Braun and Todd Young to support federal funding for cultured-meat research. For those who don't know, this revolutionary protein is grown from cells, without slaughtering animals. Since nonhumans are removed from the process, the risk of another outbreak of zoonotic disease would be significantly reduced. Wednesday, December 23, 2020
This is also to the customers of the North Vernon Municipal Utilities. Unfortunately, there were a small batch of check payments from the night drop that were mistakenly thrown away in late November. This has caused those payments to not be processed. Wednesday, December 23, 2020
The pace of Red Kettle ringing and donations are picking up! We welcome several new ringers. They are Amy, Josiah, Megan, Liam, Arthur, Crystal, Gage, and Jacob. Thank you. Wednesday, December 16, 2020
The story about the adoptive family was beautiful and heartwarming. Jennings county I doubt isn't vastly different from any other county or community when you think about the vast numbers of blended families. Wednesday, December 16, 2020
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals throughout the state of Indiana and throughout the country continue to enact processes to prioritize surgeries and procedures to ensure there is sufficient access to hospital beds, but Schneck wants to be clear, you should not put your medical issues on hold and not seek the care you need. As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, let's pause to consider why expressing gratitude to God is important, not just Thanksgiving day, but every day. Giving thanks is clearly taught in the scripture, but what does it accomplish and why does God say, "It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to his name, O most high." Psalms 92-1. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Reichenbach.
Bill and wife, Hulda, spent countless hours and personal funds over many years in restoring the old downtown theater which became a community jewell and renamed the Park Theatre Civic Centre. Tuesday, November 24, 2020
I did not appreciate the censorious and condensing tone of a letter in the Nov. 5 newspaper. Now along with Mrs. Clinton's description of "deplorables" we conservatives are "pitiful" to be pitied. Tuesday, November 24, 2020
I write to thank Dave Coquerille for his thought-provoking, inspiring letter which appeared in the Nov. 5 Plain Dealer & Sun entitled "Why I am a Democrat." Tuesday, November 24, 2020
I'm an America voter and did my part in this last election. I'm wondering just what in sam hill is wrong with Trump's thinking? I myself as every American voter and American is tired of hearing Trump boo-hooing and blubbering because he lost to a better man! What's so difficult about that? Tuesday, November 24, 2020
Dear Editor, I think Trump is right, all the votes should be recounted again, just so he could booze again. The only thing Trump did right is make it not the law to have insurance. Tuesday, November 24, 2020
