Congrats to speeders on Norris Avenue Extension
I would like to congratulate the drivers on Norris Avenue Extension!
Several years ago a petition was circulated and signed by many, then a study was done to ascertain what would be a safe speed for this stretch of road [also known as County Road 90 West].
A speed limit of 30 mph is what is posted but you evidently have been driving too fast to notice it.
This speed limit was enacted for your safety as well as the people living along this road, people pulling in and out of their driveways, getting their mail, mowing their grass, walking, bike riding, etc.
You have been in our yards and fields, uprooted fence posts and destroyed fences, mailboxes and utility poles. One man was killed on a scooter several years ago. Bike riders and cross country runners cannot run there anymore because you drive so fast and it's not safe.
This stretch of road is not patrolled like the city does its streets, so I guess you have nothing to worry about.
