Where to get
is 'cloudy' at best
Susan KingJennings County claims that coronavirus testing is available, but neither Pam Petry, Public Health Nurse for Jennings County, nor Ashley Glenn, assistant to Dana Mutz, administrator of St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon, could indicate where testing is being done.
Glenn acknowledged that Ascension's office in Indianapolis would have the answer in the near future but that office could not be reached.
Glenn also confirmed that Ascension Medical Group is not doing testing and that the situation at present is "cloudy."
Petry indicated that COVID-19 testing can be obtained by first calling ahead to the state COVID hot line at 817-826-0011.
Approved testing locations are equipped with adequate safety precautions for those doing the testing. Officials advise that when being tested, please come alone, without friends or family who could contract the virus by being present.
