A great day for Jennings County
Saturday, Oct. 7, was a great day for the Muscatatuck River.
The weather was great: breezy, partly cloudy, with the temperature going from 60 to 80 degrees.
And a great number of Hoosier citizens, 93, came out with the expressed purpose of scrubbing the surroundings of the windy waters of the old tributary.
The crew that assembled at The Vernon Commons in the morning ended up cleaning 3,727 pounds of debris and 41 tires with smiles and bantering to boot.
