Kelley School experts predict IN's economy will continue to grow but at a slower pace
Indiana University's Kelley School of Business economists forecast the total value of all the goods and services originating in Indiana will increase by 3.2 percent in 2019. But predicting the state's economic future may be more difficult than usual due to tariffs and rising interest rates.

The City of Columbus will hold a public open house for people who are interested in low-cost, reliable transportation to work through the city's recently announced vanpool program. The program is for people who are currently employed, and for those who are seeking employment.

Conservation officer Thomas to speak on current issues Monday
On Monday, November 5, the Big Oaks Conservation Society will hold a monthly meeting at the Jefferson County Public Library in Madison starting at 6:30PM. Josh Thomas, will speak on what he does as a Conservation Law Enforcement Officer for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.He will cover such topics as rifle laws, ginseng and Chronic Wasting Disease and Tuberculosis in deer. Josh enforces Indiana State conservation laws in Jefferson County.Conservation Officer, Josh Thomas, is originally from Daleville Indiana. He graduated from Ball State University with a dual major in Health Science and Physical Education. He then served six years as a Sergeant in the United States Marines where he did a combat tour in Iraq.

Child support amnesty offered
The Jennings County Prosecutor's Office Child Support Division announces its 2018 Christmas Holiday Amnesty Program. Individuals who have a driver's license suspension due to failure to pay child support, an active Writ of Body Attachment for failure to appear at a child support hearing, or who have a pending Rule to Show Cause, Report of Non-Compliance, Status hearing or have an arrearage only case may make a one-time payment of $350.00 to have their driver's license reinstated, their Writ recalled, or their hearing postponed for 90 days.
