Tickets on sale for JC Youth Foundation inaugural masquerade ball planned Nov. 2
Jennings County Youth Foundation (JCYF) will host its first-annual masquerade ball on Saturday, November 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Jennings County Community Building, located at 4920 Highway 3, North Vernon. This semi-formal event is open to adults 21 and older. Tickets can be pre-ordered online at www.jcyf.in for $25 online or $30 at the door. Dinner will be provided and a cash bar available. All proceeds to fund foundation priorities and the Boys and Girls Club initiative.

The Friends of the Mus­catatuck River Society's 43rd cleanup last Saturday may have set a record for most pleasant weather. The 2019 Shady Sweep's totals of 3,927 pounds of litter and 15 tires pushed the historical accumulations to 275,053 pounds of trash removed and 2,510 tires since the inaugural cleanup in 1998.
