Get off beaten path to see nature in action
Sandhill cranes have been stopping in the flooded field areas of the Ewing Bottoms north of Brownstown since about 1990. They also visit Muscatatuck NWR and frequently spend the night in Refuge wetlands. Most birds spend their days in farm fields (especially corn) south of Seymour west to Medora and sometimes north into Barthomew County and east into the Weston Bottoms of Jennings County.
