Lt. Gov. Holcomb rallies local troops at the GOP's annual Lincoln Day Dinner
When Gov. Mike Pence offered Eric Holcomb a new job earlier this year, Holcomb wasted little time in accepting.
"It took me a millisecond to say yes," said Holcomb, who was sworn in as Indiana's lieutenant governor on March 3. "I like Mike Pence and am comfortable with him. He offered me the I-love-Indiana job and I happily took it."
Holcomb, who succeeded Sue Ellsperman as Indiana's No. 2 executive, was the keynote speaker for the second year in a row at the Jennings County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day Dinner. The event, held April 26, brought a large crowd to the Rolling Hills Shrine Club.
Holcomb told the receptive audience about how in the last 11 years GOP governors and legislatures have turned around Indiana.
