Children's hospital fundraising for home away from home for families
On May 8, the St.Vincent Foundation hosted its eighth annual Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent Celebration of Caring Gala and publicly launched an $8 million capital campaign.
The campaign will fund the development and construction of a new facility, the St.Vincent House, which will be built on the campus of St.Vincent Indianapolis, a member of Ascension, the nation's largest Catholic and not-for profit hospital system.

Hayden Museum sets summer hours
The Hayden Historical Museum's summer hours will begin after Memorial Day and remain on this schedule until after Labor Day. The museum will be open Sundays from 1 until 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 4 until 8 p.m.

Dr. Sargent thanks those who served kids
As we near the end of another successful school year in Jennings County Schools, I want to take the opportunity to celebrate a few achievements among our current staff, and also bid farewell to those who have decided to end their careers with us.
We recently learned that two of our district leaders have been honored by professional organizations for their leadership and outstanding work while working for Jennings County Schools. Mrs. Amber Fields, Administrative Assistant for Business Affairs, was recently named the 2015 Indiana School Business Official of the Year by the Indiana Association of School Business Officials (IASBO). Amber was honored on May 14 at the IASBO Annual Conference at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne. She has provided outstanding financial management to our school corporation for the past fifteen years and is a vital member of the JCSC leadership team.
