Clothing giveaway this week
Need clothes for yourself or family?
Twenty-four churches and various organizations are teaming up to make sure you and your family have nice clothes to wear. As such, donations are being taken Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 13 and 14 from 8:30 a.m to 6 p.m. at The Family Clothes Closet at 203 East Main Street, Westport, located in the Outreach building of the Westport Baptist Church, right across the road from the church.

SICA offering 2 unique classes during Sept.
The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts is offering two unique classes during September, taught by Angie Priest. Priest and her husband own Vevay Vintage Prop and Shop in Vevay. Beeswax Candle Rolling is the first class and will be offered at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 6. The class is for students ages 10 and up.
Priest is a fourth generation beekeeper and her family now boasts six generations of beekeepers. Students will create a pair of boxed, handrolled beeswax candles. The fee is $29 per person and includes all supplies, honey bee wisdom and antidotes.
