APC reports on its June meeting
The Area Plan Commission held a meeting Wednesday, June 3, at the Government Center. Present were: vice president Travis Shepherd, Brian Hatfield, Brenda Habenicht, Tyler Stock, Eli Brown, John Post and executive director Marie Shepherd.
The following rezone requests were discussed:
Thomas and Diana Taylor and Donald and Edna Egan, 115, 117, 121, and 127 N. State St., represented by Allison Biehle, want to rezone the parcels form commercial to commercial planned business. She wants to redevelop the property into a new dental office. The request passed with five members voting in favor and one member abstaining.
Phillip and Donita Layman, 112 E. Main St., want to rezone their property form commercial office to residential single family. The request passed unanimously.
Jerry Ford, 855 S. State St., represented by Eric Pettit, wants to rezone the property form commercial single site to commercial planned business. Pettit wants to build a new commercial building at the site. The request passed unanimously.
Pamela Israel, 54 N. Gum St., represented by Christina Manning, wants to rezone the property from residential duplex to commercial planned business. This is for the purpose of a daycare. The request passed unanimously.
Ronald and Carolyn Hensley, 340 Norris Ave., want to survey a .5 acre tract from their 1.72 acre parcel. They want approval to have a 50 ft. Easement to access the new .50 acre tract. Five members voted in favor with one abstaining.
